Pearson VUE and Prometric Industry Certifications

InovaTech College of Business & Technology is an Authorized Prometric Testing Center (Site Code: NC-55) and an Authorized Pearson VUE Testing Center (SiteCode: 49139).

InovaTech College of Business & Technology has made this commitment and investments solely for the convenience to our students, taking into consideration that examinees are usually more comfortable in familiar surroundings. As member of both the Prometric and VUE teams, InovaTech College of Business & Technology is authorized to administer all online professional IT certification examinations, except for certain information security exams. Students may register to take examinations at any time, either online (www.prometric.com); (www.vue.com); or by contacting the Test Center. Payment for exams is due when registering.

What exams can I take at your test center?

We are authorized to administer all IT exams, except for some security exams.

How do I know if my exam is on Prometric or Pearson VUE?

To find out if your exam should be scheduled on a Prometric or a Pearson VUE test center, you can either contact our Test Center Manager or access their exam offerings at www.prometric.com or www.vue.com.

When is your test center open?

Our test center is open as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Fridays: 10:30am – 2:30pm

Is the test center open on weekends?
We are open on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00am – 1:00pm. If the 3rd Saturday coincides with a Federal Holiday, the test center will be opened on an alternate Saturday in the same month.

Is the test center open on Federal Holidays?
No, in honor of the Federal Holidays, the test center is closed on the date of the Federal Holiday as well as on the Monday or Friday before.

How do I register for an exam with Prometric or Pearson VUE?

You have three options to schedule an exam:
1. Contact our Test Center Manager: 910.222.1013 or at testing@inovatech.edu.
2. Contact Prometric at 1.800.775.3926 or Pearson VUE at 1.800.704.3613 and schedule your exam with a representative
3. Register online by visiting www.prometric.com or www.vue.com

What is the price of each exam?
The prices of the exams are established by the certifying organization on whose behalf the exam is delivered. For example, the price of a CompTIA exam would be established by CompTIA.

When do I need to pay for an exam?
Payment must be made at the time of registration. You can only pay using a debit/credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express cards. No checks or cash can be used to register for an exam.

Can I use an exam voucher to register for an exam?

How far in advance should I register for an exam?
Due to limited seats, we advise you to register as early as possible. We do require you to register at least 1 business day prior to the desired exam date and time. Exams scheduled within 48 hours of the exam date and time cannot be cancelled for a full refund.

How do I reschedule an exam?
To reschedule an exam, simply contact the Test Center Manager at least 1 business day prior to your test date and time.

How do I cancel an exam?
To cancel an exam and receive a full refund, simply contact the Test Center Manager at least 2 business days prior to your test date and time.

What happens to my exam if the test center must close due to weather, emergency situations, or technical problems?
In case we are forced to close the test center due to unexpected problems, both Prometric and Pearson VUE will be notified. Each testing company will issue a ticket number for the event and the Test Center Manager will contact each candidate scheduled on the closed dates, by phone and email, and provide him/her with the ticket number and the Prometric/Pearson VUE phone number to reschedule the exam for a later date or a different test center.

Test Day Questions

Where is the InovaTech test center located?
Our test center is located on the first floor of our building, located at 6408 Brookstone Lane, Suite C in Fayetteville, NC.

On test day, what should I bring with me to the test center?
You must present two valid forms of signature identification, one of which must be a photo-bearing ID (driver’s license, for example). You should also bring your confirmation number. Many testing programs require that you bring additional items with you. Consult your confirmation notice for the requirements for your examination.

On test day, when should I arrive at the test center?
You must arrive 30 minutes prior to your test appointment, in order to check-in, present your identification and other information to the Test Center Manager. If you do not arrive to the test center on time, the Test Center Manager may not admit you and may direct you to reschedule your test appointment. You are still responsible for the testing fee.

After the Test Day Questions

What happens if I missed my appointment? Can I get my fee waived when I reschedule?
Each testing program has unique rules regarding fee waivers (and refunds) due to absences. In some cases, such as illness, a car accident, weather-related problems, or other circumstances, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. Please contact Pearson VUE or Prometric to reschedule in this situation.

Do I have to pay to retake the test if I fail?

Yes, you must pay a fee to take the examination again.

How can I correct my name and address?

If your name has changed, please contact Prometric or Pearson VUE. If your address has changed, please contact the InovaTech Test Center Manager.
